Specialist, EHS and Sustainability

Location: On-site at the headquarters in Hauppauge, New York, United States

Salary: $78,000–$103,000 per year, plus a full benefits package.

Family-owned manufacturer of high-voltage power solutions for medical, semiconductor, scientific, industrial, food inspection, and transport security applications, with sites across North America, Europe, and Asia.

What you will do

• Coordinate environmental, health, safety, and security compliance for the Hauppauge, Valhalla, and Brownsville locations.
• Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, training programs, and emergency response preparations.
• Inspect workplaces, perform risk analyses, ergonomic evaluations, and EHS&S audits, and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee hazardous waste disposal and monitor waste handling activities.
• Investigate incidents and maintain required reports in line with internal procedures and government regulations.
• Track and report monthly EHS&S KPIs and manage the product environmental compliance reporting system.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in an EHS role.
• Understanding of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and local safety regulations.
• Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 26000, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Nice to have

• Prior EHS&S internship or part-time experience in a manufacturing environment.
