Quality Engineer (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Lead APQP implementation across new product introductions and existing product lines.
• Develop and maintain PPAP packages, Control Plans, and Design/Process FMEAs.
• Support product development, design release, change approvals, and production introduction.
• Analyze First Pass Yield, nonconformance, and RMA data with Engineering, Operations, and Supply Chain.
• Plan and conduct audits, capability studies, Gage R&R/MSA studies, and corrective actions.
• Evaluate measurement, inspection, and testing technologies and train quality technicians and cross-functional partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
• 5+ years of experience as a Quality Engineer, ideally in automotive or aerospace manufacturing.
• Hands-on ownership of APQP, PPAP, Design/Process FMEA, and Control Plan implementation.
• Advanced knowledge of SPC, probability, Cpk/Ppk, Gage R&R, and MSA.
• Strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills, including 8D, 5-Why, and fishbone methods.
• Strong communication, project management, technical reading, interpretation, and writing skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with IATF 16949.
• Six Sigma certification.
• Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing.
