Strategic Procurement Lead (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Partner with Product Design and Engineering to define material and component needs for new and existing products.
• Identify suppliers, evaluate RFPs and RFQs, recommend sourcing strategies, and develop make-or-buy and risk-mitigation proposals.
• Manage supplier performance across quality, delivery, and cost while negotiating terms and resolving defects or supply disruptions.
• Coordinate material purchases with Demand Planning, Production, Customer Service, Quality, and Engineering.
• Optimize transportation modes, order quantities, lead times, replenishment triggers, inventory, and production efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvements in suppliers, purchasing processes, logistics, and inventory-management practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Three to five years of experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, quality control, process or product development, manufacturing, or a related field.
• Previous experience with ERP systems and interest in becoming a subject-matter expert in Microsoft Dynamics D365.
• Strong problem-solving, risk-mitigation, decision-making, communication, teamwork, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work effectively with external suppliers and cross-functional stakeholders.
