Associate Director, Strategic Finance – Principal Investing Segment (AI)

Location: New York, New York; full-time onsite role

Salary: $140,000–$205,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.

What you will do

• Maintain detailed and flexible financial models for Principal Investment Income P&L and model new strategic initiatives.
• Support budgeting, long-term planning, and monthly forecasting by coordinating data with Financial Reporting, Treasury, Human Capital, Business Management, and Investment teams.
• Perform ad hoc projects, scenario analyses, and stress testing in partnership with Risk.
• Model strategic initiatives including fund profitability, tax analyses, fund acquisitions, M&A impacts, and complex transactions.
• Enhance models to capture business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities for senior decision-making.
• Help transform Principal Investment Income analysis into a more data-driven, efficient, dynamic, and action-oriented process using AI.

Requirements

• 5+ years of financial analysis experience, ideally in investment banking, asset management, CFO or FP&A functions, or Big Four valuation and advisory services.
• Strong analytical thinking, financial reasoning, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Excellent Excel-based financial modeling skills.
• Exceptional PowerPoint presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, independence, and comfort working in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
