Senior Vice President, High Voltage (Construction)

Location: Fully remote, Remote - CA; applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring employer sponsorship now or in the future.

Salary: $253,138–$336,674 per year

What you will do

• Own the High Voltage business unit’s full P&L, revenue, margin, backlog quality, and working capital performance.
• Lead estimating, preconstruction, proposals, strategy, and self-perform versus subcontract decisions for substations, switchyards, and transmission scope.
• Direct a multi-project HV portfolio through preconstruction, execution, commissioning, energization, and closeout.
• Manage procurement strategy and authorization for transformers, switchgear, breakers, and protection equipment, including long-lead-item risk and LNTP decisions.
• Oversee safety, quality, utility interconnection, customer, ISO/RTO, AHJ, EOR, and equipment-approval relationships.
• Build the HV organization, succession pipeline, standard operating procedures, project controls, and integration of acquired capabilities.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive experience in high-voltage, substation, or transmission construction, including utility-scale or large industrial projects.
• Senior operational or P&L leadership experience over a construction business unit or large project portfolio.
• Deep expertise in substation, switchyard, transmission-line construction, protection and control, testing, commissioning, and energization.
• Experience managing utility, ISO/RTO, AHJ, EOR, interconnection, and energization relationships.
• Expert-level safety leadership covering NFPA 70E, arc flash, LOTO, and energized-work protocols.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Renewable EPC experience involving utility-scale solar or BESS interconnection scope.
• Self-perform HV construction leadership experience.
• PE license, PMP, or equivalent technical or management credentials.
• Experience scaling and integrating acquired construction organizations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
