Nurse Manager - Assisted Living

Location: 50 New Portland Rd, Gorham, ME 04038, USA; onsite, full-time

What you will do

• Provide direct, individualized nursing care and assess residents' physical, emotional, social, educational, and functional needs.
• Interpret assessment data, develop care plans, and integrate medical orders into nursing care.
• Administer and document medications accurately, monitor adverse reactions, and maintain resident records and monthly summaries.
• Prepare incident reports, notify the appropriate director, physician, and family members, and document follow-up.
• Supervise nursing team assignments, provide special instructions, assist with staff orientation, and oversee meals and resident assistance.
• Recognize emergencies, initiate appropriate action, and ensure resident call lights and care needs are addressed promptly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination.
• At least one year of nursing experience in a healthcare facility.
• LPN/LVN or RN license.
• English fluency sufficient to speak, read, write, and communicate with residents, coworkers, supervisors, and third parties.
• Proficiency in clinical techniques, including emergency procedures, skin management, hydration therapy, and other nursing procedures.
• Strong supervisory skills and the ability to work with elderly, ill, disabled, or emotionally upset residents.
