Assembler (Semiconductor)

Location: Beaverton, Oregon; onsite. Regular schedule: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday from 5:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Pay: $18.80–$24.68 per hour, depending on experience, skills, and background.

What you will do

• Assemble extremely small, fragile, and high-tolerance electronic and electromechanical components using microscopes, specialized fixtures, jigs, and hand tools.
• Operate laser-cutting, assembly, and curing equipment to prepare polymer membranes and components for production or engineering evaluation.
• Attach polymer membranes and miniature mixed-material components using clamps, UV curing, adhesives, fasteners, and precision alignment tools.
• Read and follow bills of material, schematics, diagrams, and detailed written or verbal work instructions.
• Set up tests, perform tolerance stack-up calculations, and validate assembly accuracy and build specifications.
• Collect and analyze SPC data, prioritize production tasks, and contribute to training, leadership, and process improvement.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of related experience.
• Experience with electrical, electronic, lead-free, PCB, SMT, and surface-mount soldering.
• Strong manual dexterity and exceptional attention to detail when working with microscopic components.
• Ability to work at a microscope for up to 80% of a shift and follow detailed documentation.
• Ability to handle chemicals such as adhesives and solvents while following PPE and safety requirements.
• Ability to push and pull 10–15 pounds and routinely lift materials weighing approximately 6 pounds.
