Assembler (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Read and interpret engineering prints, specifications, electrical schematics, pneumatic drawings, manuals, and written instructions.
• Plan assembly procedures and assemble complex mechanical units to strict inspection, testing, and operating specifications.
• Position, erect, align, level, fit, time, calibrate, and integrate machine sub-assemblies and components.
• Inspect parts using precision measuring and gauging instruments, including scales and calipers.
• Test completed machines to verify performance before shipment to customers.
• Operate hand and power tools while following safety requirements for tools, forklifts, hoists, assembly, and housekeeping.

Requirements

• High school degree or equivalent; technical degree or training is preferred.
• 3–4 years of experience as a machinery assembler.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering and general arrangement drawings.
• Knowledge of fractions, decimal equivalents, metric measurements, and unit conversions.
• Ability to perform precision measuring procedures, with good visual ability, dexterity, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Regular attendance, daily punctuality, and ability to lift more than 25 pounds are required. Employment eligibility in the United States is verified through E-Verify.
