Vocational Nursing Instructor- Full Time Days

Location: San Jose, California, USA; campus-based

Employment: Full-time, Monday–Friday, with clinical rotations that may occur on weekdays, evenings, or weekends.

Salary: USD 100,000–105,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Teach LVN lecture courses and clinical rotations across classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
• Improve instructional quality by applying innovative teaching methods and online learning activities.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-offs, student files, and clinical compliance records.
• Prepare program reports and support data collection by required deadlines.
• Participate in professional development, committees, and ongoing licensure-related education.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license in the state where teaching takes place.
• At least 3 years of bedside experience as an LVN or RN.
• Ability to meet Board of Vocational Nursing faculty requirements.
• Current knowledge of nursing practice and clinical experience, with the ability to mentor students independently.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and broad knowledge of nursing sciences.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
