Vocational Nursing Instructor (Healthcare Education)

Location: San Jose, California, USA; campus-based position

Salary: USD 100,000–105,000 yearly, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Teach LVN courses through lectures, laboratory activities, and clinical rotations.
• Use innovative teaching methods and online activities to improve instruction.
• Review and revise course syllabi and instructional guidelines.
• Maintain attendance, grades, skills check-offs, student files, and clinical compliance records.
• Submit program reports and support data collection by established deadlines.
• Participate in professional development, committees, and ongoing updates to nursing practice, technology, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state where teaching takes place.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least three years of nursing experience, or associate degree with at least six years of nursing experience.
• Recent bedside and current clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to meet Board of Vocational Nursing faculty requirements.
• Ability to mentor students in classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Current immunizations and Basic Life Support certification.
