Project Engineer - Linear

Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada — onsite at 380 Wellington Street West

Salary: $87,000–$115,000 annually

What you will do

• Design water and wastewater linear infrastructure projects, including open-cut, trenchless, and rehabilitation work.
• Prepare engineering drawings, reports, presentations, and applications for regulatory and funding agencies.
• Support project managers and collaborate with design teams on environmental assessments, studies, and detailed designs.
• Provide engineering support during construction, including submittal reviews, responses to requests for information, and contract document clarifications.
• Train and mentor junior team members while contributing to a high-performance team culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer license in Ontario (P.Eng.)
• At least five years of relevant experience designing water and wastewater linear infrastructure within existing rights-of-way.
• Knowledge of OPSS.MUNI, OPSD, AWWA, MECP design guidelines, relevant CSA/ASTM specifications, and municipal standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D sufficient for reviewing, marking up, and mentoring design work.
• Strong technical writing, verbal communication, planning, collaboration, integrity, and client-service skills.
