Process Designer

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 60,000–80,000 per year

What you will do

• Support process design across feasibility, concept design, detailed design, construction documentation, and construction administration.
• Perform red-to-black markups and coordination redlines for P&IDs.
• Annotate process piping plans and update models based on review comments.
• Route process and process utility piping and assist with process valve selection.
• Develop equipment general arrangement plans and integrate vendor equipment models into Revit.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, construction staff, clients, and external partners to deliver complete and constructible designs.

Requirements

• Associate degree or technical trade school certification in a relevant field.
• 3–7 years of experience, including field experience in design or construction.
• Understanding of applicable building codes, industry guidance for hygienic piping, and quality requirements.
• Ability to work on basic to intermediate process design assignments under the supervision of a senior designer or discipline lead.
• Ability to travel for construction or client site visits as required.

Nice to have

• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, AutoCAD MEP, AutoCAD 3D, MicroStation, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience modeling process and process utility hygienic piping systems.
• Experience interfacing with clients and external partners.
