Process Engineer (Life Sciences)

Location: Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

Salary: CAD 80,000–CAD 135,000 per year

What you will do

• Design manufacturing facilities, process equipment, supporting infrastructure, and critical utility systems.
• Develop construction drawing packages, construction specifications, and coordinated project deliverables.
• Support construction through RFI responses, submittal reviews, punch lists, and progress reports.
• Prepare basis of design reports, hazardous material summaries, material balances, process descriptions, and equipment specifications.
• Perform heat transfer calculations, process simulations, and hygienic piping and room card design.
• Coordinate with clients, external partners, vendors, manufacturers, construction trade partners, and multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• ABET-accredited bachelor's degree in an applicable engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in an operating company or design firm.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic knowledge of applicable industry or regulatory guidance and local building codes.
• Ability to coordinate engineering design with project teams and construction partners.

Nice to have

• Registration for or completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering exam.
• Proficiency with 2D and 3D design platforms such as AutoCAD and Revit.
• Experience with fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and material and energy balance calculations.
