Admissions Counselor (Workforce Development)

Location: Elyria, Ohio, USA; onsite, full-time

Salary: $45,000 per year

What you will do

• Recruit eligible youth for the Job Corps program.
• Conduct outreach in communities, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.
• Lead applicant orientations and interviews, including parent participation for minors.
• Complete applicant file procedures, including data entry and document scanning into electronic files.
• Coordinate with centers to support applicant travel arrangements.
• Perform quality assurance checks and contribute to departmental goals and meetings.

Requirements

• One or two years of related experience and/or training.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or a closely related field.
• Two years of related supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily and meet program and center objectives.

Nice to have

• English/Spanish bilingual ability.
