Admissions Counselor

Location: Dayton, Ohio, USA; onsite, full-time

Salary: $45,000 per year

What you will do

• Recruit eligible youth for the Job Corps program through community outreach, agencies, American Job Centers, and public events.
• Conduct applicant orientations and interviews, including with parents or guardians of minors.
• Process applicant files through data entry, document scanning, and electronic filing.
• Perform quality assurance checks on applicant files and support departmental goals.
• Coordinate with centers on applicant travel arrangements and participate in departmental meetings.

Requirements

• One or two years of related experience and/or training.
• Bachelor’s degree in human services, psychology, counseling, education, social science, business, communications, or a closely related field.
• Two years of related supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available where appropriate.

• English/Spanish bilingual ability.
