Maintenance Electrical Specialist (PLC)

Location: Louisville, Kentucky, United States. Full-time onsite role on the 1st shift, Monday–Thursday, 4:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair 480V, 240V, and 120V power distribution systems, control circuits, industrial machinery, motors, starters, relays, and contactors.
• Program, modify, troubleshoot, back up, and document PLC systems, including Allen-Bradley and Siemens platforms.
• Interface with HMI systems and support the integration of sensors, actuators, drives, and other I/O devices.
• Plan and execute equipment upgrades, installations, retrofits, and other electrical projects with engineering and maintenance teams.
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance, identify reliability improvements, and maintain accurate work and parts records.
• Ensure electrical work complies with the National Electrical Code, safety standards, and company policies.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Completed approved electrical apprenticeship or equivalent technical training.
• Proficiency reading electrical schematics, ladder logic, and wiring diagrams.
• Hands-on PLC programming and troubleshooting experience.
• Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, three-phase power, motor controls, and safety circuits.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced industrial environment with exposure to electrical shock, chemicals, moving equipment, height, heat, vibration, and loud noise.

Nice to have

• Experience with VFDs, servo systems, and industrial networking, including Ethernet/IP and Modbus.
• Familiarity with CMMS work-order tracking systems.
• Basic project management or coordination experience.
