Chiller Service Technician (HVAC/R)

Location: Roanoke, VA, United States; onsite, full-time

Salary: $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, testing, and repairs on commercial chiller systems.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues.
• Install new chillers and system components.
• Respond to service calls and emergency situations.
• Prepare detailed service reports and documentation.
• Follow safety protocols and collaborate with technicians to deliver efficient service.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a commercial chiller service technician.
• Strong knowledge of commercial chiller mechanical and electrical components.
• Experience servicing York, Carrier, Trane, and other chiller brands.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces and at heights, and operate in varied environmental conditions.

Nice to have

• EPA Universal Certification.
