Logistics Specialist (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Execute domestic and international shipping activities using a Transportation Management System.
• Coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers, freight forwarders, truck drivers, and 3PL/4PL partners, primarily for domestic shipments.
• Prepare and process commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, air waybills, export filings, certificates of origin, and other shipping documentation.
• Coordinate customs clearance with brokers and freight forwarders, track shipments, and resolve transit, delivery, and clearance issues.
• Work with Production, Shipping, Project Management, vendors, and customers to align shipment execution with operational priorities.
• Verify shipment dimensions, weights, packaging, and readiness on the production floor; support freight quoting and logistics reporting.

Requirements

• 2–4 years of experience in logistics, shipping, freight forwarding, or supply chain operations in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
• Experience managing both domestic and international shipments and using a Transportation Management System.
• Familiarity with 3PL/4PL models, customs clearance workflows, and customs brokers or freight forwarders.
• Experience pricing and coordinating LTL, FTL, LCL, FCL, and air shipments.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a shipping office and regularly be present on the production floor, including occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
