Logistics Specialist

Location: Albany, NY, United States; full-time onsite role

Salary: $60,000–$93,750 per year

Industrial company operating complex manufacturing and project-based supply chains.

What you will do

• Coordinate heavy-haul and out-of-gauge shipments from origin through final delivery.
• Arrange domestic and international ocean, air, truck, and parcel freight.
• Align delivery schedules with construction project managers, project timelines, budgets, and customer requirements.
• Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and 3PL providers.
• Resolve customs-clearance escalations and oversee import/export operations and documentation.
• Identify duty savings, free-trade agreement opportunities, and classification strategies.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of logistics or supply chain experience, including international and project-based logistics.
• Demonstrated experience with heavy haul, out-of-gauge freight, and project cargo coordination.
• Knowledge of 2020 Incoterms, trade compliance requirements, and global shipping documentation.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems; Avante or SAP is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Teams, along with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field.
• Direct HTS/ECCN classification experience.
• Licensed Customs Broker, Certified Customs Specialist, Certified Classification Specialist, or similar certification.
