Director, Enterprise Data Governance

Location: New York City headquarters with a hybrid work model; a fully remote arrangement may be considered for an exceptional candidate

Salary: $175,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do

• Implement and operate the enterprise data governance framework, policies, standards, procedures, controls, metrics, dashboards, and reporting.
• Establish the Data Stewardship Program and define Data Owners, Data Stewards, and Data Custodians for critical data assets.
• Lead initiatives covering data quality, metadata repositories, business glossaries, data catalogs, data lineage, critical data elements, and master data management.
• Develop data inventories, Records of Processing Activities, ownership models, and governance processes supporting the transition from Data Processor to Data Controller.
• Operationalize Privacy by Design, consent management, purpose limitation, data minimization, DPIAs, privacy reviews, and incident-related governance.
• Administer and enhance OneTrust and related governance platforms while partnering with Technology, Product, Engineering, Legal, Information Security, AI, Analytics, and Business Operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 6–8 years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Information Governance, Privacy Operations, or a related field.
• Experience implementing enterprise data governance frameworks, policies, and governance technologies such as OneTrust, Collibra, or Microsoft Purview.
• Strong understanding of data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and data stewardship.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, CPRA/CCPA, and other applicable privacy regulations.
• Experience collaborating with business, legal, and technology teams, with strong communication, organization, and project management skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in advertising, media, marketing technology, or digital marketing.
• Experience with Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience governing licensed, identity, or audience data assets.
• CDMP, CIPP, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent certification.
