Data Governance Lead - Senior Manager (Databricks)

Location: United States - Remote

Salary: $190,000–$200,000 USD per year, plus an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead enterprise Data Governance programs, roadmaps, operating models, policies, standards, ownership models, and stewardship processes.
• Manage metadata, business glossaries, data catalogs, lineage, critical data elements, classifications, and data quality frameworks.
• Serve as a billable Data Governance Lead on client engagements, leading assessments, workshops, workstreams, deliverables, and executive presentations.
• Develop repeatable Data Governance and Databricks offerings, methodologies, accelerators, reference architectures, and delivery frameworks.
• Build Databricks partner relationships and support a $2M–$3M+ annual opportunity pipeline and sales target.
• Advise on Lakehouse architectures, Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion architectures, Unity Catalog, security, access controls, and governance across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Quality, Metadata Management, or enterprise data programs.
• Experience leading enterprise Data Governance programs and applying DAMA-DMBOK or DCAM frameworks.
• Experience with data ownership and stewardship models, governance policies, metadata, catalogs, lineage, and data quality.
• Knowledge of Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark, PySpark, SQL, and modern ETL/ELT architectures.
• Experience leading client-facing consulting engagements, executive workshops, cross-functional teams, proposals, estimates, statements of work, and RFP responses.
• Ability to travel periodically based on business and client needs.

Nice to have

• Experience with Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Microsoft Purview, or similar governance technologies.
• Experience with the Databricks partner ecosystem and technology alliance channels.
• CDMP, DAMA, DCAM, Collibra, Informatica, Databricks, or cloud certifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Management, Business, or a related discipline.
