TL;DR
Product Configuration Specialist (Aerospace): Evaluating aerospace customer, regulatory, engineering, and manufacturing requirements and translating approved contract review outputs into ERP/PLM data, bills of material, inspection plans, tooling needs, and production documentation with an accent on configuration control, compliance, and manufacturability. Focus on administering engineering change control, assessing contractual and export-compliance risks, and coordinating technical deliverables across Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Customer Service.

Location: Laconia, New Hampshire, United States; onsite, full-time

What you will do

  • Coordinate the transfer of technical deliverables across all stages of the product life cycle.
  • Develop, update, and maintain product data in ERP and PLM systems.
  • Administer the Change Control Board and engineering change control process, including tooling and fixture requests.
  • Review aerospace contracts, purchase orders, drawings, specifications, quality clauses, regulatory requirements, delivery expectations, and technical feasibility.
  • Assess compliance, manufacturability, configuration, inspection, certification, and export-compliance risks, and communicate exceptions and recommendations to management.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Program Management, and Customer Service to translate review outputs into production documentation and process requirements.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings and customer requirements.
  • Experience with item masters, bills of material, manufacturing routers, outside processing, semi-finished part configurations, and configuration management.
  • Knowledge of aerospace contract review, customer purchase orders, quality clauses, inspection methods, and first article inspection.
  • Experience using an ERP system such as Avante, SAP, Oracle, or Epicor.
  • Must be able to work onsite in Laconia, New Hampshire, United States, on a full-time basis.
