Master Data Engineer | Configuration Management (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Manage engineering, manufacturing, as-built, as-delivered, and in-service bills of materials across aircraft product structures.
• Coordinate with certification, systems, design, manufacturing, and other aircraft stakeholders to define and capture master data.
• Manipulate BOMs for engineering releases, material planning, flight-test configurations, and customer deliveries.
• Author and maintain procedures for master data collection, reconciliation, BOM release, baselines, and traceability.
• Maintain PLM and ERP product structures, metadata, configuration effectivity, and critical characteristics in a certification and regulatory environment.
• Develop training and detailed instructions to support master data development.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or another regulated design and manufacturing industry.
• Deep knowledge of configuration management processes and familiarity with SAE-649.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or quality discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• Experience with PLM and ERP software such as 3DX, Teamcenter, Plex, or SAP.
• Experience with requirements, test, and change management tools such as DOORS, Polarion, or JIRA.
• Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably CATIA/ENOVIA, and strong MS Excel skills for analyzing product structures.

• Familiarity with 3D digital thread and model-based definition environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to suggest solutions, adjust priorities, and move work forward in a changing environment.
