Model Based Systems Engineer, Configuration Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Huntsville, Alabama; local candidates required. Flexible for occasional telework, with up to 25% travel.

What you will do

• Design and integrate range safety solutions into MRTFB and flight-test vehicle architectures using MBSE methodologies.
• Develop and manage system requirements throughout the lifecycle, maintaining traceability, verification, and compliance.
• Apply mission engineering principles to analyze and optimize system and subsystem performance across platforms and operational environments.
• Translate operational needs into executable system architectures and integrated technical solutions with mission engineers, platform architects, and government stakeholders.
• Manage hardware and software configuration through product lifecycle management tools while maintaining integration with system models.
• Generate technical design documentation and manage solution content and engineering data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, including demonstrated range safety knowledge.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline; a master’s degree is preferred.
• Experience with data and file structures and PLM tools for managing hardware and software configurations.
• Knowledge of MRTFB range safety standards and regulations, including Range Commanders Council requirements.
• Knowledge of MRTFB operations and flight-test practices for ICBMs and UAVs.
• Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
