Special Education Teacher (K-12) |$5K Hiring Bonus

Location: Nashville, Tennessee, USA; openings in North Nashville, East Nashville, and Antioch

Salary: USD 56,171–100,974 per year, depending on degree and experience. Includes a $5,000 hiring bonus.

What you will do

• Manage a caseload and provide direct academic, emotional, physical, and social support for students with special needs.
• Coordinate special education services, including student entry and exit processes, RTI implementation, assessments, IEPs, and 504 Plans.
• Lead IEP and 504 Plan meetings and ensure compliance with federal, state, district special education, and ELL regulations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt lesson plans, assessments, and homework to individual student goals.
• Use progress-monitoring data to adjust instruction, programming, and IEPs while providing students with regular feedback.
• Build a positive, calm classroom culture and maintain communication with families, students, and school staff.

Requirements

• Valid Tennessee teaching license with an endorsement in Special Education Interventionist K-8, Special Education Interventionist 6-12, or Special Education Comprehensive K-12.
• Conferred bachelor's degree.
• CPI certification, or willingness to complete CPI training after hire.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check.
• Willingness to participate in summer pre-service training and weekly professional development during the academic year.
• At least two years of teaching experience is preferred.
