Salary: $71,000–$116,000 per year for the 2026–2027 school year.

What you will do

• Modify, differentiate, and teach an inclusive curriculum that supports diverse learners.
• Develop and monitor accommodations, 504 plans, and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with families and special education teams.
• Deliver pull-out, push-in, small-group, and one-on-one specialized instruction.
• Collect and analyze academic growth data, write IEP goals, and prepare for annual IEP meetings.
• Build supportive relationships with students and families and coordinate resources for student learning needs.
• Participate in professional development, mentoring, coaching, and weekly school-wide collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher before employment begins.
• Academic expertise in Special Education, Humanities, Social Sciences, STEM, or a related field.
• Demonstrated commitment to students’ social-emotional and academic development and to K-12 education in urban communities.
• Teachers who teach independently must hold an MA special education license, an equivalent license from another state, or have completed an approved undergraduate or graduate special education program.
• Candidates without the required qualification may provide specialized instruction only under direct supervision of a qualified special education educator.
• Certification is not required for hiring, but Massachusetts certification tests and applicable MTELs must be completed to meet MA state requirements.

• 1–2 years of experience supporting K-12 students, preferably in urban schools and communities.
