Salary: $100,561–$145,814 per year, determined by experience, qualifications, and internal equity.

What you will do
- Develop electrical engineering solutions for utility-scale renewable energy projects during estimating or project execution.
- Lead electrical design development, Basis of Design documentation, engineering reviews, RFIs, and technical deliverables.
- Review one-line diagrams, protection and control systems, grounding plans, cable routing, equipment layouts, and third-party engineering packages.
- Support utility interconnections, electrical equipment selection, procurement strategies, and technical submittal reviews.
- Perform quantity takeoffs, constructability reviews, value engineering, and technical risk assessments across multiple projects.
- Mentor junior engineers and CAD designers while improving engineering standards, workflows, and design quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited college.
- EIT or FE certification required, or the ability to obtain it within one year of hire.
- At least four years of progressive electrical engineering experience in utility-scale power generation, renewable energy, industrial, EPC, or heavy infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing multiple engineering priorities and collaborating across multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of electrical collection systems, substations, transmission interconnections, protection and control, SCADA, power quality, load flow analysis, and equipment sizing.
Nice to have
- Experience with utility-scale solar, wind, or battery energy storage projects.
- Experience in estimating engineering, project engineering, or both.
- Experience working with owners, EORs, utilities, EPC partners, and construction teams.
