Product Engineer (Thermal Systems)

Location: Cookeville, Tennessee, USA; onsite full-time

What you will do

• Design and develop electric heating elements, assemblies, and thermal systems.
• Verify product designs, review manufacturing drawings, and coordinate laboratory screening and qualification testing.
• Coordinate new product development, debugging, release, tooling documentation, and follow-up actions.
• Create and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, technical documentation, deviations, and engineering change orders.
• Develop customized solutions from customer requirements and collaborate with customers, suppliers, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Laboratory, and Operations.
• Lead or support product validation, continuous improvement, and cost-reduction initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of heater design experience and 2+ years of design experience using 3D CAD software.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
• Knowledge of drafting standards, design layout, finite element modeling, solid modeling, and GD&T.
• Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and FMEA, plus experience with product development processes.
• Ability to travel to customers, suppliers, and other sites, including multiple overnight stays.
