TL;DR

Location: Onsite at 1000 Coulter Drive clinic in Amarillo, Texas, United States. Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; regular presence at the employee site is required.

What you will do

  • Coordinate the full new patient referral process, including referral triage and prioritization.
  • Collect demographic, insurance, referral, medical record, and pre-visit information.
  • Register patient accounts and verify insurance benefits and eligibility in practice management systems.
  • Schedule examinations and procedures, maintain physician schedules, and coordinate appointment requests with the clinical team.
  • Communicate with patients, referring providers, physicians, and internal stakeholders by phone and through scheduled appointments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, follow up on missing medical documentation, and resolve administrative issues while protecting patient confidentiality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of revenue cycle and/or patient access experience in healthcare is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Teams, and Excel.
  • Proficiency with medical terminology and insurance benefits and eligibility verification.
  • Knowledge of multiple practice management and electronic health record platforms is preferred.
  • Successful completion of required onboarding courses and on-demand training within 45 days of starting the position.
