Press Brake Operator

What you will do

• Set up, program, and operate CNC press brake machines according to safety guidelines and engineering specifications.
• Calculate blank sizes, bend locations, tonnage, and tooling for each part.
• Verify materials, machine settings, tolerances, and finished-part quality using work orders, QC packets, blueprints, and measurement tools.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and hoists while handling production materials.
• Detect equipment malfunctions and out-of-tolerance components, reporting issues to maintenance or management.
• Maintain press dies, punches, and a clean, safe work environment while supporting continuous improvement.

Requirements

• At least 6 months to 1 year of related manufacturing or CNC press brake experience.
• Associate’s degree in a technical field or equivalent education and experience; a two-year technical program is preferred.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Strong mathematics skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
• Ability to use standard measurement tools and solve practical problems under varying procedures and instructions.
• Ability to stand, walk, handle materials, and regularly lift or move up to 25 lbs; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs is required.
