Press Operator 1 (Sheeter Operator)

Location: Greensboro, NC, United States; full-time, third shift, onsite production role.

Salary: $43,000–$47,500 per year. The posting also lists an hourly range of $20.00–$28.00.

What you will do

• Set up, calibrate, and operate high-speed sheeting equipment to convert paperboard rolls into precise flat sheets.
• Monitor sheet dimensions, squareness, and surface quality to identify dust, slitting, scuffing, and other defects.
• Review job tickets and complete make-ready changeovers according to size, weight, and grain-direction specifications.
• Clean and perform basic preventative maintenance on knives, rollers, belts, and related equipment.
• Load heavy paper rolls using forklifts or roll-clamping equipment and resolve mechanical issues or paper-run jams.

Requirements

• Experience with industrial machinery; sheeter experience with Marquip, Goodstrong, or Maxson equipment is advantageous.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/32 inch and perform basic sheet-count and waste-percentage calculations.
• Ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 pounds, and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail when identifying defects that may affect printing or die-cutting.
• Strict adherence to Lock-Out/Tag-Out procedures and personal protective equipment requirements.
