Machine Center Operator

Location: Rushville, Indiana, United States; on-site, full-time. Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., with overtime as needed.

What you will do

• Safely operate manual, NC, and CNC machinery in an assigned work cell.
• Start and monitor machines to identify malfunctions and out-of-tolerance machining.
• Inspect workpieces and verify conformance with production specifications.
• Perform preventive maintenance and maintain hourly and daily production records.
• Work across machines and cells and collaborate with engineers, production personnel, and programmers to resolve machining problems.
• Support process improvements, documentation, and training for other team members.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age and committed to workplace safety.
• Experience using inspection gauges such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and Go-No Go gauges.
• Ability to read blueprints, including dimensions, tolerances, surface callouts, symbols, and views.
• Ability to perform shop math, including decimal and fraction conversions, metric-to-standard conversions, angles, and offsets.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, willingness to learn, and ability to understand job instructions.
• Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, push, and pull frequently. Successful completion of a background check, essential-functions assessment, and drug screen is required.
