TL;DR
Construction Manager, Water (Water Infrastructure): Overseeing construction services, technical reviews, field coordination, and contract administration for water, wastewater, and stormwater projects with an accent on constructability, QA/QC, and client satisfaction. Focus on resolving design and field conflicts, managing RFIs and project documentation, and coordinating construction activities across multiple contracts.

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; on-site field office and regular construction site attendance

Salary: $88,800–$133,200 annually

What you will do

  • Oversee construction services for clients from an on-site field office.
  • Review project deliverables and troubleshoot design issues arising during construction.
  • Conduct field visits and attend weekly construction meetings with clients and contractors.
  • Lead contractor discussions, resolve conflicts, answer questions, and enforce contract documents.
  • Manage project controls and documentation, including submittals, invoices, and RFIs.
  • Coordinate with design teams to maintain design intent, constructability, sequencing, and scheduling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • 8+ years of experience working with MEP projects.
  • Ability to interpret specifications, drawings, shop drawings, and other contract documents.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and Bluebeam Revu.
  • Responsibility for project quality and completion of QA/QC processes.

Nice to have

  • Professional Engineer license in Virginia.
  • Experience with wastewater treatment plants, preferably in Richmond.
  • Experience managing multiple construction contracts and complex water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
