Business Change Junior Consultant (Defence)

Location: Bristol, with client sites in the Southwest along the M4 corridor; hybrid working with attendance at a client site or office at least two days per week. Applicants must be British citizens or have been continuously resident in the UK for the past five years to meet potential security-clearance requirements.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain business change plans for digital Defence transformation programmes.
• Assess change maturity, adoption, change load, and as-is/to-be states across Defence Lines of Development.
• Update change-management strategies, identify risks, and support proactive mitigation.
• Facilitate workshops and events, using visualisation tools to communicate impacts to stakeholders.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, government agencies, external partners, and the wider Defence community.
• Develop change communications, manage client relationships, and provide mentorship and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Experience delivering change within digital or large transformation programmes.
• Ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships in government and Defence environments.
• Expertise in change-management methodologies and tools, with strong analytical, communication, presentation, and risk-management skills.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and working to tight deadlines.
• Human-centric approach to business change and ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• British citizenship or at least five years of continuous UK residency may be required for security clearance and background checks.

Nice to have

• Experience in Defence or other complex, operationally focused organisations.
• Consulting or consortium/blended-team experience.
• Change-management qualification such as APMG Change Management or Prosci Certification.
