Management Consultant | Management Consulting & Business Transformation (Defense & Security)

Location: On-site at the client site in the Washington, DC area, United States–Mid-Atlantic Region. Work is generally performed between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM Eastern Time, Monday through Friday. Travel beyond 50 miles from the primary place of performance may be required.

What you will do

• Direct multiple complex projects and initiatives supporting U.S. Coast Guard mission-support modernization.
• Design current-state assessments, future-state processes, implementation plans, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Establish performance measures, analyze root causes, and recommend corrective actions through data-driven decision support.
• Provide portfolio governance, facilitation, executive communications, charter development, stakeholder engagement, and action tracking.
• Develop business cases, alternatives analyses, cost estimates, integrated metrics, and Integrated Baseline Review documentation.
• Support Microsoft Access-based tools through data architecture, database development, testing, dashboards, reporting, and user support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• PMP, DHS mid-level project management certification, or equivalent qualification.
• At least 7 years of experience, or 5 years with a Master's degree or higher.
• Experience in the defense and security sector, management consulting, business transformation, project management, process improvement, and performance measurement.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools, analytical problem solving, structured thinking, stakeholder collaboration, and executive communication.
• U.S. citizenship is required; visa sponsorship, including H-1B and TN sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with Lean or Six Sigma-style problem solving.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience with Adobe Acrobat, data analytics tools, Visio, or security-sensitive federal engagements.
