Fresh Maintenance Mechanic 2nd Shift (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Del Rey, California, USA; full-time, 2nd shift

Compensation: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

What you will do

• Maintain, inspect, install, and repair production and processing equipment.
• Perform tooling changes, equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and system troubleshooting.
• Work with basic electrical, plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Determine required materials, equipment, and supplies and keep inventory records current.
• Maintain accurate routine and preventive-maintenance records and report completed work for inspection.
• Follow and support company, OSHA, GMP, FDA, USDA, GFSI, and food-safety procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, plus education and training in general maintenance and repair or a related technical field.
• Experience in maintenance operations, including supervisory experience; equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Ability to install, inspect, repair, and maintain basic electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to weld using MIG, TIG, stick, and sanitary methods.
• Ability to understand complex written and oral instructions and communicate tactfully with employees, vendors, and contractors.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and the safety precautions required for maintenance work.
