Maintenance Mechanic 3 (1st Shift)

Location: Chanhassen, Minnesota, United States; onsite, 1st shift from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.

Salary: $59,800–$87,500 per year. The stated hourly pay range is $28.75–$42.11.

What you will do

• Maintain production equipment and respond to machinery errors and failures.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical systems.
• Repair and maintain die cutters, web and sheet-fed presses, inserting machines, folders, conveyor systems, and bindery equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
• Manufacture or reproduce replacement parts using welders, lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders, and other shop equipment.

Requirements

• Advanced skill in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, overhauling, aligning, testing, and maintaining complex machinery.
• Ability to distinguish mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and electronic failures.
• Ability to make precise adjustments for alignment, parallelism, and concentricity.
• Ability to measure air and fluid pressure and flow and interpret the results.
• Ability to read multiview drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, manufacturer specifications, and technical materials.
• Knowledge of construction and assembly techniques, geometry, shop mathematics, fits, clearances, pressure, and flow calculations.
