Senior Support Engineer (HVAC)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States; onsite Monday through Thursday, with a choice of work location on Fridays

Salary: $97,406.66–$135,834.99 annually

What you will do

• Provide direct technical support to engineering and contractor customers using TRACE and other Customer Driven Solutions tools.
• Mentor CDS Support Engineers on technical issues, software questions, and HVAC knowledge.
• Act as a subject matter expert and contribute to TRACE product development through requirements input and customer feedback.
• Train internal and external customers on current and upcoming features, creating video and in-person training content.
• Collaborate with CDS Sales to improve the customer experience.
• Create and own internal tools using software technologies and AI models, while planning and executing regression, functional, user-acceptance, and data tests.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field preferred, with at least five years of experience in product development, contract engineering, consulting engineering, MEP design, or building energy modeling.
• Expert knowledge of HVAC products and systems, applied mathematics, numerical modeling techniques, and building energy modeling tools.
• Experience in a customer-facing technical role and familiarity with BIM tools such as Revit.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows programs.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, knowledge of software capabilities and limitations in real-building design, and understanding of the software development process.
• Regular onsite work is required Monday through Thursday in La Crosse, Wisconsin; limited overnight travel is also required.

• Knowledge of the commercial building construction industry.
