Principal Electronics Lab Technician (Aerospace)

Location: Melbourne, Florida, United States; on-site. Applicants must be U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents, conditional residents, asylees, refugees, or eligible to obtain the required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, spacecraft, and other space and airborne platforms in a startup environment.

What you will do

• Assemble, rework, integrate, and test complex circuit boards in an engineering laboratory.
• Integrate and test electronic boxes, including phased-array boxes and digital-to-RF processing units.
• Design, build, and test wire harnesses for space and airborne systems.
• Manage laboratory processes, equipment calibration, consumables, and day-to-day coordination with engineers and technicians.
• Resolve technical issues involving sensitive SMT components, RF devices, BGAs, and high-speed FPGAs.
• Mentor junior technicians and engineers and conduct ESD and laboratory organization training.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience as an electronics lab technician.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Significant assembly and rework experience with sensitive SMT components, including RF amplifiers or BGAs.
• Advanced hand-rework skills, including fine-pitch wire work and precise 0402 component placement.
• Experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, and wire harness construction.
• U.S. employment eligibility or eligibility to obtain the required export authorizations is mandatory.
