Senior Electrical Engineer II (Aerospace): Developing and testing avionics hardware for spacecraft programs from requirements definition through PCB design, prototyping, verification, integration, and production with an accent on analog electronics, complex PCBs, and reliability analysis. Focus on designing spacecraft electrical systems, performing SPICE-based circuit analysis, and integrating hardware for high-reliability space missions.
Location: Long Beach, California, United States; onsite at ’s global headquarters. This U.S. office role is subject to ITAR eligibility requirements.
Salary: $141,800–$212,600 USD base salary annually. Total compensation, including equity: $174,300–$269,875 USD annually.

What you will do
- Develop PCBA requirements in collaboration with engineers from other disciplines.
- Create schematics and PCB layouts for complex boards using Altium Designer.
- Perform power, tolerance, reliability, and other circuit analyses.
- Conduct PCBA design verification and system integration testing.
- Support manufacturing and production activities as needed.
- Test and operate spacecraft electrical systems during on-orbit missions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or another engineering discipline.
- 8+ years of electrical hardware design experience, including schematic capture and PCB layout.
- Strong background in analog electronics design and circuit analysis using SPICE and Excel.
- Proficiency with Altium Designer for schematic capture and complex PCB layout.
- Knowledge of processors, FPGAs, switch-mode power supplies, communication interfaces, and analog instrumentation.
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance; U.S. ITAR eligibility is required for work in U.S. offices.
Nice to have
- Master’s or PhD in electrical or computer engineering.
- Experience with electronic laboratory equipment, space environments, radiation mitigation, or high-reliability aerospace applications.
- Experience with rigid-flex PCBs, electromechanical design, FPGA design, or embedded software for ARM processors.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
