Solutions Architect (Defense & Intelligence)

Location: Tysons, Virginia, United States. US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph are required.

Salary: $190,000–$210,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Research and construct technical solutions for customer RFPs, strategic white papers, IRADs, investment initiatives, and capture opportunities.
• Develop enterprise-level solutions for defense and intelligence programs.
• Lead IRAD execution by tracking costs, timelines, delivery cycles, and Technical Readiness Levels.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts, program teams, leadership, and Business Development to shape solution roadmaps and capture strategies.
• Author technical proposal volumes and contribute to capture milestone events, RFIs, RFPs, white papers, and bases of estimate.
• Apply emerging technologies and innovative solutions to strengthen existing programs and support new business.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, data science, or another STEM discipline, plus 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience as a lead engineer on government programs with annual revenue of $50M or more, or comparable IRAD management and COTS development experience.
• Experience with solution architecture or technical volume leadership for captures and proposals.
• Knowledge of GEOINT, space-domain technologies, and AI/ML implementation, with direct experience with NSG systems and adjacent architectures.
• Agile development experience on CPAF, CPIF, or CPFF contract vehicles, plus large-scale DevSecOps and CI/CD pipeline expertise.
• US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph are required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting NGA, NRO, or COCOMs in J2 work areas.
• Successful supplier partnerships on proposals.
• GEOINT technology experience, remote sensing education, or hands-on remote sensing experience.
• Strong briefing skills related to technology demonstrations.
