Principal Solutions Architect (Enterprise IT)

Location: McLean, VA, USA; on-site every Wednesday

Compensation: up to USD 175,000 yearly

What you will do

• Lead innovative, compliant, and executable technical solutions for strategic federal and defense opportunities.
• Serve as technical lead for captures and proposals, collaborating with capture, business development, proposal, operations, and engineering teams.
• Translate customer mission requirements into differentiated architectures, delivery strategies, and scalable operational solutions.
• Lead solutioning sessions, architecture reviews, and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
• Shape technical capabilities, service offerings, reusable solution components, and strategic technology roadmaps.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and advise executives, customers, engineers, and other stakeholders on practical mission applications.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, systems engineering, data analytics, or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in solutions architecture, enterprise architecture, systems engineering, or related technical leadership.
• Experience leading technical solution development for large, complex federal pursuits and supporting DoD, Navy, Federal Civilian, or other federal agency environments.
• Deep familiarity with enterprise technologies, cloud ecosystems, cybersecurity, DevSecOps, data architectures, and emerging technology trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for engaging executives, customers, and technical teams.

• Experience with large federal growth organizations and strategic capture programs.
• Experience in cloud modernization, cybersecurity transformation, AI/ML, DevSecOps, and enterprise digital transformation.
