Underwriting Specialist (Fintech)

Location: Strongsville, Ohio, United States; full-time onsite

What you will do

• Coordinate all underwriting activities between hirify.global and Corpay.
• Collect, review, and submit client documentation for underwriting approval.
• Track active underwriting files, approval timelines, missing information, and decisions.
• Communicate with sales, account management, operations, credit, risk, and compliance stakeholders.
• Identify and escalate potential risk or compliance issues and maintain complete records.
• Improve underwriting workflows, procedures, checklists, reporting, and new-account handoffs.

Requirements

• Experience in underwriting coordination, financial operations, credit processing, or related financial services.
• Knowledge of business credit, financial statements, and underwriting principles.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, problem-solving, follow-up, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to manage multiple underwriting files independently under tight deadlines and collaborate across functions.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, plus CRM or workflow tools.
• Ability to work full-time onsite in Strongsville, Ohio, United States.

• Experience in fintech, banking, payments, or expense management software.
