Underwriting Technician (Insurance)

Location: Scottsdale, Arizona, United States; hybrid

Salary: $45,000–$50,000 per year, subject to applicable geographic differential.

What you will do

• Support underwriting units throughout the policy lifecycle across various platforms.
• Enter data, maintain files, and process renewal information in policy administration systems.
• Review underwriting files and ensure satisfactory file completion.
• Monitor the submission inbox daily and support the clearing of submissions.
• Assist underwriters and team members with complex situations while maintaining productivity, quality, and timeliness standards.
• Provide responsive service to internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Experience in the insurance industry or in an assistant role; insurance knowledge is preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills and the ability to learn policy administration and claims systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to absorb technical information and interact with all organizational levels.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to use standard office equipment.
• Must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
