EH&S Engineer III (Environmental Health and Safety)

Location: Fully onsite in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada

What you will do

• Plan, administer, and continuously improve the site’s environmental, health, and safety programs.
• Maintain compliance with local, global, and corporate EH&S regulations, including EU REACH and RoHS requirements.
• Maintain ISO 14001:2015 compliance and host customer, registrar, and internal site audits.
• Develop incident-prevention programs, conduct investigations and root-cause analyses, and oversee corrective actions.
• Own EH&S training programs and matrices, lead training activities, and chair the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
• Manage emergency-response readiness, workplace inspections, ergonomics assessments, hazardous materials, permits, and safety procedures.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as an Environment, Health & Safety specialist or engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree specializing in Health & Safety and Environment, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Working knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 is required.
• Ability to conduct ergonomics assessments and work independently or collaboratively across multiple projects.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strong working relationships.

Nice to have

• ISO 14001:2015 certified lead auditor qualification.
• Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001.
