Occupational Health and Safety Advisor (Metal Recycling)

Location: Onsite at the AIM Recycling industrial site in Montreal, Canada; travel between company sites may be required.

What you will do

• Plan, organize, coordinate, and monitor activities related to preventing workplace accidents and occupational illnesses.
• Help build a strong health and safety culture and coach managers on safety leadership and prevention.
• Implement and monitor health and safety programs, procedures, and tools.
• Conduct workplace inspections, assess hazards, and recommend risk prevention and mitigation measures.
• Lead accident investigations and collaborate with regulatory authorities during inspections and investigations.
• Coordinate health and safety training, facilitate OHS committee meetings, and respond to employee and client inquiries.

Requirements

• College diploma or university certificate in Occupational Health and Safety.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Valid driver's license and availability to travel between company sites as needed.
