Manufacturing Quality Engineer, SUV, Crew B (Automotive)

Location: Warsaw Manufacturing Site, United States; onsite Crew B schedule is Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 pm–5:30 am. Training begins on day shift before moving to Crew B hours.

Salary: $108,877.26–$163,315.90 annual base pay

What you will do

• Develop and implement quality assurance and control processes for sub-assembly and general assembly.
• Integrate quality requirements into manufacturing processes with cross-functional engineering, product, manufacturing, and external partners.
• Investigate technical and process quality issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Conduct manufacturing process audits and inspections to support the new vehicle launch.
• Work with suppliers to establish and monitor quality expectations for incoming materials and components.
• Create and maintain control plans, inspection procedures, quality manuals, FMEAs, and other quality documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing, or related engineering, with 8+ years of experience.
• 8+ years of automotive engineering or manufacturing quality experience at an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
• Strong understanding of vehicle development, production, manufacturing launches, product and process assessment, problem solving, and root cause analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control disciplines and automotive quality tools, including AIAG, IATF 16949, MSA, SPC, APQP, and PPAP.
• Working knowledge of FMEAs and control plans, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and support technical and manufacturing operations.
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
