HVAC Special Projects Lead Tech

Location: Winchester, VA (RBI); full-time, field-based work requiring outdoor work, work at heights, ladder and scaffolding use, and confined-space work.

Salary: $34.00–$42.00 per hour or $70,720–$87,360 per year.

What you will do

• Assist with and oversee installation, startup, and commissioning of commercial and industrial HVAC equipment.
• Lead special-project training and development for HVAC technicians.
• Work with air-to-air DX split and packaged rooftop systems from 1 to 25 tons and VRF multizone systems up to 30 tons.
• Install and support hydronic systems, including heat pumps, chillers, pumps, and tanks up to 50 tons.
• Install hydronic and refrigeration piping, including sizing refrigeration piping according to manufacturer requirements.
• Prepare sheet-metal drawings for fabrication and diagnose light-commercial low-voltage control systems.

Requirements

• High school or trade school graduate, or GED.
• 1–3 years of HVAC installation experience and strong mechanical aptitude.
• Universal Refrigerant certificate required.
• OSHA 10-Hour Certification required at minimum; additional training may be required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet the company driver qualification policy.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, carry up to 25 lb, work in confined spaces, and communicate effectively with employees and customers.

Nice to have

• Journeyman license.
