Press Operator 2 - Flexo - Stern Ave (Printing)

Location: St. Charles, Illinois, USA; onsite, 2nd shift

Pay: $26.00–$33.00 per hour, with potential overtime, shift differential, call-in, and standby pay.

What you will do

• Set up, adjust, operate, and maintain flexographic press equipment.
• Complete make-ready tasks, including hanging plates, installing cylinders, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and register.
• Inspect plates and cylinders for imperfections and verify correct image positioning.
• Make color corrections and press adjustments before and during production to meet quality specifications.
• Clean, lubricate, and perform manufacturer-recommended periodic maintenance on the press.
• Complete minor repairs and replace worn or broken parts as required.

Requirements

• Thorough knowledge of offset printing procedures, materials, specifications, equipment, and safety requirements.
• Ability to read job specifications and determine appropriate press settings, materials, and equipment usage.
• Ability to make precise control settings and equipment adjustments.
• Knowledge of packing pressure required to achieve proper printing pressure for different jobs.
• Experience with routine operational maintenance and minor equipment repairs.
• Skill using a micrometer to correctly mount and align printing plates.
