Safety Compliance Specialist (EHS)

Location: Longview, Texas, United States; primarily on-site at manufacturing and warehouse facilities. Requires up to 25% overnight travel to out-of-state work sites.

What you will do

• Support EHS Managers by writing, revising, and maintaining environmental, health, and safety policies, programs, and procedures.
• Conduct facility inspections, audits, and observations to identify hazards and track corrective actions.
• Support environmental compliance programs, including SPCC, RCRA, SWPPP, air emissions records, and permit conditions.
• Prepare reports and documentation for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Coordinate EHS training and develop training materials for employees.
• Promote a safety culture through education, communication, and collaboration across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in environmental, health, and safety compliance, auditing, or program administration; the earlier requirements section states a minimum of 2 years.
• Working knowledge of environmental regulations, OSHA standards, and federal regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem-solving, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, communicate constructive feedback diplomatically, present to small- and medium-sized groups, and work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work on-site in industrial manufacturing and warehouse environments and wear required personal protective equipment.

Nice to have

• Experience managing Title V air permits.
• Experience in a lean manufacturing environment.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
